In their grief and anger, Yang's eighth and ninth sisters went to the Liao Kingdom to reclaim the precious dagger. On their journey back, they encountered Jiao Guangpu, a displaced general from the Song Dynasty. Initially strangers, they later joined forces to safely return the treasure to their homeland.
